Reflexology

Chedvah Bodywork , see's the body as a means of reflection.

The body reflects your routine , the internal , what we eat, what we ingest mentally and physically.

At the same time the foot reflects your body.

I studied a lot of Gematria , the body and healing to understand that everything is a reflection of צלם אלוקים- the image of G-d.

With that in mind, when I give a massage and look at the feet, I see a body that has the ability to reflect what's happening within.

I had to practice, to study, I had to have many clients to validate my speculations and see a pattern.

In Hebrew the word foot is רגל.

The word routine in Hebrew is רגילה, thus your foot reflects your regular routine, ways of behaving.

In the Torah, we are told that man was created בצלם אלוקים -In God's image.

What is an image and how does one get an image? In Hebrew when one wants to take a photo , they ask : אפשר לצלם אותי- "Can you take a photo of me". Now an image in science is defined as: That point where the light rays coming from an object meet or appears to meet after reflection or refraction.

Here I believe we can see that when G-d said that He created us in HIS image , H-SHEM wanted us to reflect Him.

The Torah also speaks a lot about light -אור.

In order for man to see light enters our eyes which is usually reflected off an object.

lets take:

  • רגל

  • צלם

  • אור

foot, image and light

For us to see we need -reflection

For us to capture an image we need-reflection

For us to walk with our feet we need to reflect where we are walking to.

For us , Reflexologists: for us to see your health, we use the foot as the image of your entire body.

Each relax zone on the foot parallels/reflects a specific body part. A qualified Reflexologist should be able to see and feel any imbalances in the body and help revive the parts of you that need strengthening and balance.

The word Reflect in Hebrew is 480-שקף.

When we divide 480 by 8 it equals -60

In Gematria 60 is ס- which looks like a circle.

thus the concept of reflection is about everything that is contained in this world, for the world is a circle, the light we receive in this world comes from the sun that is a circle, our cells are a circle and so on. This is the cycle of our lives, moving in circles to reflect and change our routines or habits. You may ask why I divided by 8, so I will tell you , number 8 is symbolic of an entity that is one step above the natural order , higher than nature and its limitations. Thus reflection is what divides nature from  the supernatural. The ability to reflect is natural and supernatural at the same time. To reflect is a gift H-shem gave us humans so that we can aim to live in the image of G-d.
